"What's a street team?"

As a professional one-woman street team, I get asked that question a lot. And I love answering it - a street team is a person or group of people who "hit the streets" to spread the word about an artist, album, venue, or event using posters, social media, and good old word-of-mouth promotion.

My fascination with street teaming can be traced back to my grandfather, Jody Rainwater. In the early days of Flatt & Scruggs, he'd drive a souped-up car ahead of the band, hanging posters, connecting with radio stations, and spreading the word about their upcoming appearances. He was also the band's bassist, bass singer, comedian, and booking agent - doesn't that make you want a cup of coffee?

I made these merch items in hopes that MORE people will ask me about street teaming and get involved with their local music venues - they need our support!
